****ing true
i lived there from the 80s onwards and was so glad 10yrs ago to finally move to Somerset West and the main reason was because of that ****ing south easter !!!! :D
I pretty much grew up on beach road. My oupa bought the place and my dad sold it only a few years ago.

As much as we wanted to chop that tree down for the view its over 100 years old and we were fined just for trimming the damn thing.

Love the place but jirre the wind, we used to skateboard with sheets to catch the wind up and down the parking lot IMG_20200605_180114.jpg

The one on the corner? Across from the fish n chips shop? There was one in the Gallery(?) about 2 houses down that was great, but I haven't been that side in a while. I hope you've run into the guy who owns the bookshop, I have a feeling you'd get on famously.

FrankyF now doesn't worry about Weber thefts out of his backyard anymore in Kempton Park coz now when they disappear he knows its the ****ing south-easter in Gordons Bay that has airlifted it outta his yard into some random neighbours yard

are you ****ing kidding me?
i know EXACTLY that house on Beach Road that i have loved as a kid since the 80s living there
yes the Milkwood trees in Gordons Bay are a protected specie of massive note, you may not even trim1 ****ing leaf without a permission slip, and i love that fact. Coz most of those trees were planted by our forefathers of the land in the 1700 hundreds.
its just a part of history that brings a smile to my face.
nothing to do with colours of people, its just a gem to know hundreds of years ago somebody planted it and watered it  Like @Mortymoose does in Namibia with his wood

jissus you old Gordons Bay naaiers are talking about the Old Cape Mall in Gordons Bay
massive history in there from the Miller family back in the day, i think they still own that mall after the last 200 years, i was best friends with them in the 80s and 90s.

That corner spot was many pubs, it changed almost yearly, like a new pub every year

Old Cape Mall, thank you! More like conveniently burnt down every year.

Here's the view from the house in 2005. Think they bought the place in the 60s or early 70s. Half the house has the original clay walls, even my dad who built on kept them intact.
