My father in law also plays over at the Gordons Bay Bowling Club and always mentions to me how popular the Business league is....

Up here in the bush, the play slightly different...... play diagonally across the greens with jagermeister and other fine shorts waiting , losing team to the end get to down down!
Jip, business league is always more about the kuier, dop and braai. Nice to wind down once a week with a bowling ball in the one hand and a beer/whisky in the other.
For some reason I always tend to roll better the later it gets.

Crisp, Clear and Cold...... Not a cloud to be see in the early morning Namibian sky....
The sun still to rise on her journey across the great Southern Sky...

The Moose, armed with a coffe coloured Japanese Bobtail sips his hot mega cup of coffee as Toto wails about rain in Africa....
Moose thinks unto himself, "Gee! They really made good vibes back in the 80's.."

Today is the local NG Kerk Bazaar..... Now not being a particular God fearing fella, one might wonder why The Moose would wish to frequent such an event...... Well two reasons...

The Dominee is a mate of mine, and oversized jolly kinda chap, who can often be seen speeding around our little town on a minature scooter with his black dominee cape flowing behind him like a platteland super hero....and he happens to be the biggest Lion supporter I know...so I need to go and enquire if he has asked his saviour to bless his awesome team on this here important day...

And secondly..... As an avid cremator of fine meats, The bazaar is the place to go to find unique cuts of deceased beasts like their famous Curry Lamb ribs....perfect for the coals..... The biltong and sosaties are also mightly fine products to enjoy...

I have a good mate coming for a visit to his hometown sometime this afternoon and we are gonna be braaing tomorrow.... The English HO pleading with me not to get gesuiped, as this friend is a fine upstanding fellow who is bringing a first time visitor "home" with him..... :whistling:
Easier said than done..

Lastly, Fanie, my virtual braai buddy for a number of years now, Good Luck with your span today.....

Mmmmm kerrie rib, sounds good. This talk about curry has put me in the mood for some kerrie lamstjoppies for tomorrow's family braai.
Will have to get tjoppies soaking up some kerrie sauce overnight in the fridge ready for tomorrow.
Have a good one.
Go the SA team in the final!

Damn! Tis' tough sitting here stone cold sober listening to depressing tunes on the draadloos....... Just heard that my mate and his buddy have arrived in town and we shall see them in the morn for a braai and a few toots...

It was pointed out to me, that I might have a rough week ahead....

Sunday, Braai with buddy and visitor..... dop!
Monday, Dinner at a local restaurant with four out of town Spar people....dop!
Tuesday, Braai at local Gun Club function room with all the Spar owners/managers from Southern Namibia.... dop!
Wednesday, Braai at local Bowling Club to discuss upcoming functions.... dop!

Saturday, Braai in yard at Work whilst security contractor installs a few camera's .... dop!

So In essence I should count myself lucky for the peace and quiet tonight!

Looking forward to the curry lamb braai rib 2morrow!

Igniting in Mosselbay.

Always amused by the folk that build those towers compared to the okes that build wigwams, and then the platteland Moose types that just dump the bag on and ignite, playing with fiery logs whilst holding a cold one later.... :)

I've also noticed that it differs quite a bit. Visiting sister, so so that's my brother-in-law's fire. He likes to build a big tower and braais on that. I build a much smaller tower, and I like to make another smaller one for ambience/coals

The okes up here temd to get pisses and then start dumping entire sakke hout on the fire after the hraai, went to a Braai where R 800 bags of wood still in their packaging were turfed onto the flames just for atmosphere..l have logs around the back that I use for kuier fire now....

Ok! Sunday....... Braai day, with visitors....No drinking..... Er...not too much drinking..... Don't make my name gat.... ja, well no fine....... :whistling:

So with rugby on tele yesterday and to much beer in the fridge...... the curry marinade was not prepared for lamstjoppies to rest in overnight.
So today instead will be 2 flatties and boerwors basted with a spicy basting sauce busy bubbling away in the kitchen.
Have a good one
@Mortymoose....hoping for some pics of that kerrierib
