arzy please teach fanie how to braai so that he doesnt drop the tasty good parts into the fire ...
The fat wasn't wrapped properly around the meat, the fire was too hot, and I had to go chase my Staffy from my mini's bonnett, and when I returned it was like a bonfire.

I was NOT happy at all. Steak still turned out pretty great!

Yes:

You saw the fat was loose, either rewrap or add some toothpicks
You made fire to hot
You could have locked the dog away or put the mini in your pocket

oh look, i found a free nvidia shield controller on my desk! profit!

Think "toeklaprooster" next time. It's what I do with anything wrapped in netvet, there's just no other way, or it all falls apart and makes a fiery mess.

but yeah damn fat burnt perfectly with some Jimmys sauce ...heaven

Jimmy's Sauce is my "secret" for any steak. Marinade in the sauce, bake in the over on low temp for about 20 minutes before braaing (bake in the sauce), cover in sauce while braaing over high heat. Man, it's just the best.

Kyk Sir you know a lot about braaing stuff, but man, you are wrong here :crylaugh:
Jimmy's is just swimming in saugary sauce.

Use olive oil, bit of lemon juice, worcestershire sauce and some soya sauce..... If you absolutely HAVE to marinade ...

And by HAVE to, I mean you were drunk or on drugs and bought some fillet by accident
