some people prefer sweeter marinates over a salty one

we prefer masala marinated meat

chicken as well needs to have a nice tikka masala

ribs in a sweet and sour sauce

but yeah not olive oil and schit

Why don't just eat the marinade, because you are sure as schit not tasting the meat.

indians have never like salt and pepper meat ... never

everything gets marinated

a curry to a braai .. and i have no idea what marinates you tried cause we alway taste the meat

Meat is meat and a man must.... not marinade it to try to hide your attempt at cooking it properly but failing :p

Nothing wrong with marinade, but it should not dominate the taste of the meat, rather just enhance it.

I like marinaded chops for the braai, but that's because that's how Indians have done it since forever. Most other meats though I skip the marinade and go straight with a dry brine.

Problem is with indian food that they sometimes get a little curried away.

i think its the best chops i have eaten ever

I must say I also dislike marinade and Fanie is correct, it should only be on meat if its fillet. I much prefer a cheese sause on a perfect piece of rib eye steak!!
