Those short rib strips makes some delicious rugby snacks when braaid and cut up into finger food..
Normal fare, but looking forward to these here dead beef short ribs, the Butcher had earmarked them for himself, then I happened apon them...

GFYExcellent...juicy and tender... but expensive. Around R1200 per kg.
It's halaal and gets imported from Australia by a butcher friend when he has a few people keen on it.
Not sure if anyone aware of locally bred and sourced halaal wagyu?

Free State iirc.Halal would be the problem, but there is a farm with wagyu beef being bred in the cape somewhere
