Everyone brags how much longer their fresh groceries last from Woolies.
That is scary
How much preservatives have been added to their food?
It is impossible for a tomato to last a month on the shelf at home, but Woolies ones do, loaded with kak inside. No thanx

Perhaps... or consider that what you're getting from Shoprite/PnP/Checkers is 2nd grade stuff that's had poor quality control or a poor supply chain.

I know for a fact that one of the big retailers will have fish and frozen goods standing out in the sun for hours, only to be put back into a cold truck and sent to a store.

Actually they get preferential first choice to many fruit and vegetables grown locally. Similar to the export market getting the better grades.

So the stuff they are selling is mostly a higher quality.

Most likely true
But I dont trust them with what has been added to make vegetables stay fresh for weeks and weeks and weeks
Not even back in Jesus day did the Okes have lekker fresh veggies like this when they were cruising through the deserts
Something fishy going on here

Very true
I actually did walk into my local 'Woolies' a few months ago, i was looking for eisbein and went there as a last resort, anyways they didnt have but I was looking at the cool stuff and was horrified by the prices. Absolute madness, even the milk is overpriced.
And I am sorry but milk is milk and there is no "A' Grade Milk exclusive to 'Woolies'
**** that place

Ok, can we move along now? I do not want to talk about this anymore. Thank You
