Very true
I actually did walk into my local 'Woolies' a few months ago, i was looking for eisbein and went there as a last resort, anyways they didnt have but I was looking at the cool stuff and was horrified by the prices. Absolute madness, even the milk is overpriced.
And I am sorry but milk is milk and there is no "A' Grade Milk exclusive to 'Woolies'
**** that place

Ok, can we move along now? I do not want to talk about this anymore. Thank You

Why did I read lesbian?

My absolute favourite cut to slow cook in the Weber :giggle:

Word of warning, when I do them I make sure I start of cooking very early, depending on what temp you want to take it to, it can take significantly longer than you expect.
Thanks for the tip. I'm actually gonna go get it started now.
I'm going to go for what they seem to call Minion method for the coals. Dunno, I'm new to this stuff.

^ Not a lot of briquettes.
I would have used more, but then I always use too many :X3:
I'll see what it looks like after 2 hours, it's a bit more than it looks like on the pic but it may not be enough.
Temperature is sitting nicely at about 138deg now.

At least I can work without having to worry about checking it.

Perhaps... or consider that what you're getting from Shoprite/PnP/Checkers is 2nd grade stuff that's had poor quality control or a poor supply chain.
You can experiment yourself by growing some veg at home and comparing.

I don't have a larney Weber grid that I can lift and add coals :p
Yup me either, and they are bloody expensive, over 800 bux last time I looked
Thats why I used an angle grinder and modified mine
Wasnt like I am using that space anyway coz any meat over it is just gonna burn
So now I have meat on one side and a nice hole on other side where I can add charcoal into the charcoal holder
Works like a bomb

I usually leave the bottom one wide open when in use and only close it to choke the fire and put it out with the lid
Drive the top flap for your temp
Close it three quarters and monitor your temp

I may have too much coals, I've got both vents nearly closed and I'm sitting at just under 150deg
Was hoping to be just under 140deg

Maybe I shouldn't overthink the numbers and just let it go.
