Stroll over to the what's for supper thread you will see we are cavemen (cavewomen) in comparison. Closest we have are @flytek and @RanzB pics.

But I appreciate the compliment thank you :giggle:

Shucks you're sweet, but one thing you might wanna note is the lack of alcohol in those threads. It makes for remarkably less blurry and out of focus pics :p:p

Excellent advice, I was also thinking this stone is too damn thick for a gas chamber. I saw some cheap thin ones on Takealot, my bud that just dropped off this said he uses a cheap terracotta tile, now I know why.

This grid is about 80% good, maybe more, and I am going to buy a new grid anyways as a backup, and now this gets me thinking of tossing grids right out coz this gasser is gonna be running at 100% volume for the highest temp one can achieve for a good pizza in minutes as we know this already from owning Kettle Caddys.

Maybe I just get my welding bud to make a floating chassis to hold a pizza stone at the desired height, that way no braai grids are ever harmed

The nice thing about gas is you can add a lot of heat quickly so a terracotta tile will work great. Getting a nice holder made up is also a great idea.

Fat chump chops, beef blade and salad coming up.
I bought the grass fed blade cause it looked tasty. Little did I know its tough as nails and should be used for stew o_O
Anyway I think I'm going to try the slowest way of braaing...the staan beef blade....heh
Lets hope its edible.
Also hoping the salad comes out as tasty as Poppies ones look.

Going to have to feed the fire to keep it going well over an hour in the hopes of making the blade soft enough...

Starting with an ale. My wife decided to have the same steaks again as last weekend Saturday, and the little one likes to feed the tortoise.
