Sorry cylinder 3kg will not last very long.
I use a 9kg cylinder
Theres no ****ing way I am hauling a 9kg cylinder on my motorbike after refilling it, the 3kg is perfect for me as a bachelor that never has friends over for a braai
I have a spare 3kg as well so will just rotate them

how much is a 9kg

the empty branded ones are kark expensive

R800 for a alva cadac or megamaster

must still pay for gas
I paid R250 on monday, they take the empty and deliver a full canister.
I saw a cadac 9kg on sale for 699

Just go to a gas outlet like filling station, pay a bottle deposit and get a filled 9Kg bottle. If you don't need the bottle any longer, you can give the bottle back and get your deposit back. If you need a new filling, just exchange the empty bottle for a new one and pay only for the gas.

This is much cheaper than buying a bottle outright and let it be filled.

The economics of gas braai haha...
I hear it typically costs between R5 and R10 on average for a gas braaid meal. Wood fired is certainly more expensive.
But then you can't really have a circle of friends enjoying the fire around a Q2000 or a charcoal braai...heh.

Agree
Luckily I never have friends visit
Thank goodness
So the Weber Q2000 is perfect for a bachelor
Much cheaper than all the charcoal and blitz I was going through and smoking my neighbours out

So do you cook on gas because you have no friends that braai with you, or do you have no friends that braai with you because you cook on gas?

I would love to see someone make half a braai on gas and the other half on wood and then see what they say about taste.

Exactly, tastes the same
Like going down on your missus and then your cousin
No difference
The one is acceptable and the other frowned upon, still tastes like chicken
