I'm glad you took a photo of your tongs, so that the rest can see which ones not to use - they are very deceiving, they look practical, but have zero clamping force, often resulting in dissapointment and gnashing of teeth..

Agreed.. those are the 2nd worst in the universe. I had a pair and the one day I got so fed up with them that I pivoted like an Olympic discuss thrower and they sailed off the patio, over the pool and settled in some bushes against my boundary wall.

You need to do better next time, they need to sail over the wall into the road, never to be seen again even if your horticultural engineer gets incredibly productive one day.
