I must actually try to braai hake some day as that is a lot cheaper. Anyone tried it?

hake you can bake, fry, pan fry, grill anything its very good and versatile and very tasty for me

kob fillets are great and also great in curry

yeah same with kingklip, last time i bought in hout bay for like R120 a kg

after the bones and all come out you sit with half the weight

Sort of, living on meat, eggs, cheese, butter, coconut oil, salad, veg, water and booze...wasn't going to give that up yet .. still the good life but not snacking.
Still cheat quite a bit but am losing the boep..

They look burned but were actually far less done than I thought...cooked them about an inch above a super hot set of coals..essentially flame grilled.
