I do four pizza's in a row, the heat is limited.... so the vents are open half for the 1st and 2nd , by the time I get to No.4 , Vents are 90% closed..... and it takes longer to bake!

But if you restricting the airflow it means the coals aren't giving off the same heat? You ate decreasing the heat. When I'm done cooking something I close all vents. Next time there will still be coals. They need air to maintain heat. I'll go max open and what happens.

How do you get the pizza onto the stone when it's still soft at the beginning? Just aided by flower?

Why do you ask me such questions? You know I am usually gesuiped when I burn shrt!

The trick is .... the minute those coals turn white..... you bang on the 1st one..... Takes less than 10 minutes..... then you do the switch, in one flow..... whilst holding the dome parallel to the horizon to keep the heat trapped in it.... the entire switch takes less than 20 seconds...... 2nd pizza, she takes about 12 minutes.......and the last one.... around 17 minutes....

Why not use more Kole? I ask you? A Scotsman burning money ....Naw! I will drag the last inch of eat outta every single coal..... :whistling:

I mentioned this before.... when you finished using your weber with the main meal, and the coals are almost gone..... chuck some skilpaadtjies on and close.....leave them for half an hour..... gebakte .....Skilpaadtjies..... fekkin ' awesome....

Braaied on one of them fancy gas jobbies before, it's not the same and the meat does not taste anywhere close to a normal braai.

Beware, those modern megafters that run on the breath of satan are for heathens & infidels I tell you!

And what about the "standing around the fire" effect??

I thought about recording them flames, renting a channel on DSTV, and putting it into a loop.... you'll get some folks crowding around the screen, talking kark about the bulls :p
