Sooooooo...... I was not planning on drinking today....

I was planning to go home after work, have a sober braai and watch rugger with my eldest gal...
The shop was busy emptying out and I started to do my rounds (lockup procedure) ,

Only to discover four painters in the staff tearoom, busy repainting....

Aaaaagh! I forgot I had painters in this morning....

Now I will have to spend the afternoon in the store, with nothing to keep me amused, save for rows and rows of beer fridges.... :twisted:

There are two visiting cricket squads in town, one from Vredenburg and the other from Wondhoek.... since last night the party has been raging down at the local oval...... and I can see me landing up there per ongeluk.....

Locking up your business late and telling your wife that you had to stay behind to supervise the painters, open a six pack at the tills with one of your partners sucking on a bottle of Baronne....... talking boy **** about wives .... only to have your wife walk down the stairs right in front of you after overhearing your last thirty minutes of conversation......

No amount of Lindt is gonna unfudge this faux pas.....

So...... I never had too much to drink, not more than 12 beers and watched The Boondock Saints afore retiring for the evening.... Was in two minds about heading over to the cricket club, but after seeing the Diamond Diving neighbour as I was pulling out for work this fine morning, I was mightly glad I had not.....

He was still on the go and let me know that they had to restock the cricket club bar twice last night.... today one of the visiting teams is still in our little town and will be heading on over to the other Sunday watering hole, The Namib Gun Club to pull some clay...

I would not be surprised in the slightest if a spontaneous party erupts next door come twighlight...
Added to this, My whisky swilling Afrikaans neighbour and his wife are wanting to pop over to discuss study visas this afternoon...

I have a fillet in my fridge that needs something done to it for nosh the nicht' , still wondering how I am going to fit this all in....
