/Moose in fine spirits this overcast. Morning.....

The clan all out at a swim gala....

As Boston sing about their feelings.... The Moose preps fresh free range chicken drumettes and wings with his own secret drunken recipe in preparation for a fine braai later on in the day...

Went down to the beach with LastBornMoose for a wee walk.... when lo and behold..... a Southern Namib Jackal approached along the sand bar, we stood still and it came within 2 meters of us, stopped, stood still for a minute or two whilst we spoke to it and with that, turned and walked back from when it had come....

Indeed a good omen for the afternoon...... :whistling:

A fantastic omen. The jackal is one of my favourite animals - if not my favourite. What a treat. I had one follow me through the park a few years ago - back when pictures were on film. That thing was a treat because it was a puppy. I will see if I can the pics.

My daughter is with me the weekend and like the moose family, is also a non-meat eating type. Candy Pants may join us and in that event, the fire will be on.
