The last pieces of the famous A.P.Steyn lamb coming out of the depths of yon deep freeze..... The "dog" cuts, but still excellent flavoured lamb...

As Alphaville sing about being Forever Young, those youthful days of the 80's come roaring back, day's when death was far away...

On opening my first beer this blustery afternoon, I turned to the east , raising my glass, I gave a toast to three people that I knew on a personal level that had passed on to higher mansions..... Over this last week alone...

It's getting to that stage of my life, where the older folk are moving on and we, the yourh of the 70's and 80's step up to the plate...

The Point?

Live each day to it's utmost, party on Wayne.....

The trick with Skilpaadtjies on the weber, is to leave the, right until the very end, the part where the coals are almost dead.... Then you place the poor tortoise on tje grid and close the lid, leave them, forget about them..... Only return in thirty minutes and they will be baked with all the flavours of a regular braai....

I know this has more than likely been asked and answered before but I just can't not ask anymore.

Why is your beer always on the hot braai?
