I like to park by my braai for an hour or two so a kettle braai doesn't really do it for me. The Cadac kettle braai I've got is on it's last legs but I'd rather get a wood burning braai rather than replace it with a Weber (until I move house, next house has to have an indoor braai).
/approve
CorrectLooks like that long side bar controls the height, that's pretty cool.
Quick question... I prefer to braai with wood, but as a rule that's for the planned stuffEverynow and then I feel like doing some steaks or just a quick braai , but without the time-consuming part associated with a wood fire. So normally I would use the charcoal Weber Kettle, but this is also now on its very last legs. Been toying with the gas braai idea, but wife isn't to keen on gas due to an unfortunate incident years ago. So I've been looking at the Weber Q-2400 electric braai as a replacement, seeing that Takealot have them on special
Any comments ?

Just remember that the lifting bar gets very hot if you make a bonfire in it as it is very close to the side of the fire drum when lowered. When you have a heavy load of braaithings on the grid and you try to lift the grid with force it will burn your hands before you can react.
I only noticed earlier that it's sold as a charcoal braai. That grid doesn't seem to lift off either. Will keep looking.
And don't worry too much about the "charcoal" label, it'll be fine for wood.
I would not use wood on that.Might as well get this then and use wood: https://www.ebucks.com/web/shop/productSelected.do?prodId=239402556&catId=291669615

Braaishop.com can take ebucks i thinkOk. I'm checking if that braai you quoted earlier in another thread is at Checkers Hyper (eBucks), they are listed as a reseller.
