Two months without a braai (Weber yes but not the same) ... Soon I will have one again.

Hey Spizz, my OTP was accepted, moving that way next month!

New house has an indoor AND outdoor braai

Nice one. I talked the place up so much I hope you enjoy it :D

Need to do some beers, let me know when you are up this way again.

I'm sure it will be fine. Lived in Melkbos for 9 years until recently. Hermanus has so much more to offer. Beers for sure.

I added the beer to the pic just to save the image...

NOW, here is what I plan to cremate later, later , later tonight, once the clan are asleep in their beds (no Spizz, not the Campbells and the McDonalds all over again) , I shall draw the braai tongs, ignite the fire in the darkness of a cold Namibian night, stars crushing down apon me in the smothering darkness, I too shall offer up burnt offerings to the Head Office Gods!

Mrs Spizz bought some KWV 3 year old for some cake or other she was baking.

Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I sensed a perfect opportunity to teach number one son about his 50% Afrikaans blood :whistling:

Got an ash catcher Weber I see. Fancy pants.

I hated holding a poly bag under the thing. Fscking ash everywhere.

So when my last one died after 8 years of loyal service, Tafelberg were kind enough to have a sale on. Destiny I'd say :p

It's so worth the extra dosh especially when you're a lazy bum like me. You don't even have to empty it every time :p

Came out to braai, shoogled the handle about to clear the bottom and not even a quarter full. More time for [-] drinking[/-] relaxing.

I see that we cannot post attachments on MyBB , which is understandable.... I just wanted to share something...

I come from a musical family, although, I myself do not play anything save for the scales on a bagpipe chanter.... When my mum passed almost two decades ago, the only item I asked for , was her piano..... she was also a prolific Accordion player, (I have since bought her accordion from siblings also) , needless to say FirstbornMoose and SecondBornmoose took to it like Mortymoose to a braaifire..... this afternoon, I had to stop what I was doing, with a tear in my eye, I stood in silence listening to what she played.... man! I am sooooooo proud of this gal......

if you want to hear piano...... on a 2nd rate instrument with a first rate duaghter..... here is a 2 minute clip.....

is jy vokken mal!!!! you marinade meat when it has aged so much it turns green, and fillet.

not rump, that's sacrilege!

This is a good point raised by fanie.dry , a lot of folk marinade/spice their choice cut of meat way way toooooo much, in essence you kill the flavour of the meat and might as well have gone and bought a straw for the bottle of marinade and save a small fortune at the same time!
