i spy glenfiddich with my little eye

well morty, interestingly my family ( father's mother's side) used to own large expanses of land in scotland - around dufftown in particular.
a strange deal (you know, the kind when the gentlemen in tweed go fox hunting) was done whereby the distillery in dufftown got land that included a natural water source.

as as result, male (only) family members have access to free booze, obviously within reason - and the scottish menfolk in general are regarded as the yardstick against which "reasonable" is measured - and they must be resident within the kingdom.

Love family history, under what Clan Name do you fall?

Ah, a tippler after me own heart, bless ye! Tullamore Dew's my dram 'o choice. :)

We stock it, but I have yet to try it in all honesty....when. Return from my Helderberg trip next week, I shall purchase a bottle...

Not really. Just wondering if she has nice tits why would she be offended.

Well, that is what myself and me trusty white steed thought at the time...

Well, the afternoon has arrived, our town's Cbd has shut down, temp about twenty six degrees , no wind....HO gone to the
...not really sure what direction this fine afternoon might take, braai or an fry?,rugby or kitchen? Tea or Beer?, well the last one is a wee bit late, already consumed 1.2 lt of Windhoeks finest, started to prep, no matter which way the day proceeds...

Gemsbok game steaks , smothered in a light pepper sauce with a sprinkling of Kaiings... Now, in all honesty, once again, I have not made this dish before, so clasp your hands together and pray for the Moose Clan....

I've been on a rib scoffing fest since last weekend. I bought these from a new place and marinated them in Jimmy's sauce yesterday.

Meant for tomorrow but let's see how this afternoon goes :whistling:

Just re-read this, and it brings a wee memory to my mind.... My late father , Jock the great, was a prolific Whisky drinker of note.... and I mean prolific, 21 one day benders in his old age were not uncommon....

I have always been a beer drinker, hence the reason for me wide girth of note.... I do embark on journey's of self discovery when consuming the water of life and only started the habit sometime in my mid 30's..... well turns out I have the Genes of a whisky drenched family tree..... one day, a very good friend of mine gave me a bottle of White Horse, not your average bottles, but them 3 lt monsters, been lying in his garage for years.... in fact he did'nt want the Whisky, just the empty bottle returned....

Needless to say, I spent a late Sunday evening drinking this said whisky with two mates.... I enjoyed it.... magic! Braw! Befok! About 4 hours into the session, this Moose was on a rocket, man! i like the stuff, found out much to my amusement, that I could drink buckets of the stuff, be in a good place and still stand, my two mates on the other hand.... falling here there and everywhere.... I could have partied for two days thereafter....

Recounting the tale to my Da, he was not amused, informed me that it was very wrong of me to expect normal folk to keep pace with us when we drink whisky and that next time I should respect my mates and not let them drink the same quantities that we do....

Lesson learnt....

Bidding the fish_man I great afternoon from the Namib desert...... I was going to watch the game, but feck! it's the Argies and the Boks..... entice me more.... gonna spend the afternoon in the kitchen listening to music and the nieghbours wife...

That looks good :( not helping.

The swine that he is .... :whistling:

The wind is swinging back to the west, off the Atlantic a mere 6km away..... so I am abandoning the braai and shall make a wholehearted attempt to desecrate HO's kitchen........

Also just heard from a reliable source that the Union have just signed on the dotted line and the strike is over..... after 15 days of stupidity and falling sales.........

So, another reason to clebrate,

/This here Moose raises his glass to all his forumite friends, no matter where they may be..... Slanche'

Well, as mentioned earlier, the wind swung, the temp started to fall, so the braai was abandoned, hit the kitchen of the almighty HO, sat at me spot, the late afternoon sun screaming through the westerly window, john, ringo, paul and......? (Pop quiz) screaming that their baby had a ticket to ride... Then she returned, enquiring, " well is this it then? For the next five hours, a drunken noise in my kitchen....?" So I changed my mind...

Left alone to my devices, the lads arrived, MiniMoose and his mate, armed with those marshmrlloey things and two sticks...
