When I return to Nam, next week tuesday is a public holiday, shall be embarking on the pastries again, will post all revealing details...


My hometown be on the bottom south western corner of Nam, just a mere 10 km north of the border... Tarred road all the way to CPT, 770km, record driving between our town and the waterfront, helf at 5 hours and 15 minutes.... Average drive 7hours,7hours 30 minutes...

Helderberg, Gordons Bay.....

Yesterday drover to the big city to attend a Spar Trade show and see a dinosaur thingy, traffic on hospital bend.... I shall never again complain about the lone gemsbok standing in the middle of the road at home, when I driver the 800m to work again....

Thing I like the most right now, lying in bed late, much missed rain pelting against the window.... HO. Brings me a steaming cup of GrannyMoose's famous old person's coffee..... Listening to the distant traffic as I think of all you bastards driving to graft this wet day... :whistling:

Wonder where HO will be telling me to drive today...

Oh! A bit worried, my diamond diving neighbours , are also in town, worried about the meetup later....

I've done Dbn>Jhb(actually just outside jhb)>Ctn in about 11hrs... Including stops. ;)

and that is a further trip.....nearer to 1900km, than 1800km trip total.

Well, turns out Spar pays my petrol from Nam, throws in two hotel room nights for me and HO at the wateyfront(which we never used,should have offered one of u okies two free nites in CPT in retrospect) and nobody makes me do nuttin' , just ask HO!

Yes, it was nice to attend the trade show, lots of suppliers trying to give you stuff, had the Moose clan with as we had tickets for the Dino show next door, rules at the trade show have changed, in the old days, the booze suppliers gave away mountains of samples, this year the Spar group said nay, on a personal note, me thinks somebody tipped them off , that the Moose would be making a rare appearance....

When I use to run with the Chinese mob , bhd (before ho days) , I once drove a china from cpt to durbs, non stop, through the old transkei, stopping only for a meeting and a meal with more china mob in PE.... Crazy days them...

I packed in my Namibia T-shirt, one pair of braai stain free jeep shorts and my boots, but tis' was all in vain, the friggin rain and wind did not play along.....

Right! Did the family thing, drove to butterflies,giraffes and cheetahs... Malls and stores , home with the English and waiting for HO to feel obliged to kick me arse across the road to the pub to have a few sundowners..... I reckon it will take her thirty minutes at themost....
