No reason to doubt Sam's ethnicity, the guy is busy looking for a cheap vdub to go with his sound.

Two Questions that I meant to ask, Is that False Bay and are you one of those okies that braai's your pork belly soft and not crispy? Heard of those folk before.... :whistling: oN the other hand, with that view and that "Afore Ye Go" Water, who needs meat.....

Two answers for you:

1) That is my parents view from Fish Hook
2) We like our pork crackling all nice and properly crackled aka crispy. We eat that as a starter and the actual meat ad part of the mains.

Do it lino I did on Wednesday night while gf was working. She took 10 minutes off to eat then went back to work. By the time she got to counting my beers it was Thursday and too late to complain.

Hahahaha! Thought I recognised that view..... Here's something about this here Moose.... I was born in Fish Hook in 1970, my parents having just emigrated from Scotland, with my father working in the dockyard in Simonstown....

When I was at boarding school in CPT, I would catch the train every friday to Glencairn and stay with my Godparents.... Jeez! That's a good few decades back.....

There be naught wrong with a one man braai, you get to suip as much as you want, play YOUR music, cremate the meat when you should desire, and go pass out when you want.....

HO often prefers me to braai on my ace, it's easier for her to keep me under control.... mind you I can be quite a bombastic bastard at times and well known for speaking my mind, hate wasting time.... when I do have mates over , if I have enough partying, which is quite late, I ain't ashamed to tell them to piss off!!! :wtf: some people appreciate my honesty!

Ok! I am working the weekend, payday and all, the store is buzzing, the butcher is trying to load skilpadtjies and garlic pork neck steaks into my weekend basket...... but after a quick glance at the weather....

updated weather.jpg

I will be keeping it low..... that means indoors.... Saturday afternoon I will make simple pizza for the rest of the clan as 50km hour desert winds howl on the estate.....

But roll on Sunday, just fekkin roll on..... I finish graft at 13h00, my current beer stock stands at 24 WHK 440ml draught bottles and 12 Heineken bottles... I plan, and I use the word "plan" vaguely here.... to attempt to cook a beef fillet, sliced and stuffed with cream cheese, red onions, mushrooms , all wrapped with streaky bacon....... in me Weber, can't you okies just see the fiasco that this might turn into? huh? Can you?

I will take bets from Saturday 12h00...

Make it a rocking good weekend people, it might be our last!

:D

Sand, sand, sand everywhere... Tree's falling.... There is absoloutely no way i shall be outside lighting any form of fires today...

HO saw the warning signs, Moose busy charging his wireless speaker, wireless headphones, this gal is good, she knows what is gonna be brewing in her kitchen this afternoon bru!

Ha! I spit in natures face, since when does a little bit of sand stop the Moose from suiping?

my Mac is busy in the kitchen right now... making a curry (the way I taught her) for tonight!

I still need to eat, had something light yesterday morning but then went to my farewell function and it was only liquids for me. Some say in preparation for my retirement... am still burping whisky! :D

Thanks Morty.

That stuff caused my first ever (and last) stomach pump back in the 90s. I've not touched it since!!!

The wind is picking up here.... had to close east side doors to Spar, there is a haze of dust in the store....

Here is a live snap from the webcam down at the Oranjemund Airport....

Oranjemundcam.jpg

Snap from down the street from me..... that ain't mist, tis' sand.....just heard from a friend with the loss control dept that a tree, the christmas one's , well he was just called out, as the top 8 m of the tree just broke off and speared through the guy's lounge roof, luckily nobody in the room at the time...

The one nice thing about this weather, the evenings are usually warm and it makes for good beer drinking weather , clearing all the dust in one's throat!

I am not involved in the stock ordering in the TOPS, that's my partners domain, for some strange reason the partners do not want me involved with the TOPS side of our business, wonder why? ;)

Gonna save your braai pie link for later , will give it a try when our weather returns to normal..... Just spoke to the HT electrician, they are expecting the HT powerlines to blow over any moment!

I also spoke to the TELEKOM techie earlier, he was out in the sandstorm doing something with the optic fibre line, also concerned!

So if the Moose goes quiet, you all know why!
:wtf:
