South Africa's two cellular giants and several mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) offer affordable month-to-month packages bundling uncapped or near-uncapped voice minutes and SMSs with large data allocations.

Although there are cheaper data-only packages on the market, many customers are willing to pay a bit extra for the "worry-free" experience that comes with unlimited calls and large data bundles.

Which network does spot roam off? I've switched to melon for a month now and its working out well for me for the R50 extra from my previous deal. I am in wifi areas in most places so I never use much mobile data except for when I travel and the 'unlimited' calling means I call instead of whatsapp call so no lag / data connectivity issues.
