The most expensive E-bike you can buy in South Africa — R230,000

The most expensive electric bicycle in South Africa is the 2022 Bianchi E-Suv Rally Xtr Dual Suspension E-Bike, boasting a full carbon body and a Shimano EP8 motor.

Able to reach speeds of up to 25 km/h on rough terrain, the electric bicycle — and motor — is available from Cycle Lab for R230,000 and is designed to provide the natural feel of riding a regular mountain bike.

I'm impressed that they outdid the S-Works by R7k.

To you nerds, you know you can buy a an S-Works road bike WITHOUT a motor for R210k...

Bikes are fun.

I think I must add to my collection. 6 isn't enough.

I thought one of the Specialized's would take the crown, last I looked one of the Turbo Levo's was around R250k, which is still short of some of the 'custom' road bikes you can get with pricing upwards of R300k  I am too poor to buy a new bike so just keep my 2015 Scott Spark going and going.

Yeah, I also thought the spaz was still the top of the pile. Had to go check complete cyclists website.

Would Batman ride a ”2022 Bianchi E-Suv Rally Xtr Dual Suspension E-Bike”?

That is always the q you should be asking.
Batman would ride the as yet unreleased new Cadex (I've seen how he likes the stretched out hands in front (superman) position in his rides).

Now I know about economies of scale blah blah
But take a company like MAXXIS that produces tyres for a broad spectrum of vehicles and on a pretty big scale. How the Fvck can a bicycle tyre cost close to 1K ??

I will agree with you there, it costs more to 'service' my mountain bike than it does my Touareg, WTF

Too many water bottles and far too much grey hair, and I'm probably half that size.. Also, saddle waaaaayyyyyy tooooooo far forward. Offset seat post and then saddle slammed forward. What a knob.

He does the Cape Epic on that thing which is way more than I have ever done on a bike  Terrible dress sense though.

I've ridden many stage races, but a week on a mtb (even the quarter of a million ZAR beast) is not for me.
