I also think that many people on this forum are lacking in compassion.
One can only hope that should South Africa go down the tubes (however unlikely it may seem) that western countries won't take the attitude of closing their borders to you and telling you to eff off.

I know that certainly my approach amongst others may be seen as lacking in compassion but the bottom line is until the tyrant is gone, we must take a hard line stance on the matter for all the reasons already listed in this thread.

(Europe did it to the jews in WW2 and who knows how many lives might have been saved if they had opened their borders and hearts)

There is a huge difference in stopping illegal immigration and stopping all immigration.

Anyway, the people who have no compassion are the ones in our government. They have demonstrated time and time again that they really could not care less what happens to the ordinary Zim people as long as their buddy is still in power.

Sending the current illegals here back there and stopping them coming here is a massive step forward for Zim. It will expedite a solution to their current problem.

But this is all futile as many others have already pointed out. Zim's problem is not its economy, it is its government and the ANC has clearly demonstrated that they fully support those idiots.

I, for one, am tired of hearing about Zim. Today 702 was reporting that Mugabe organised for 3 extra ministers to be sworn in instead of the 15 he was supposed to have. So now Zanu-PF has 18 to the MDC 16. At the same time, another MDC person was arrested. At this point, it's my opinion that the Zim people need to get off their arses and fight. Until they do, I am not interested in hearing about them any more.
