The income from motor license tax can't be a small amount, how much is made a year on this?

Who gets it?

For what is it used?

Is it being used to build and maintain our roads?

National Treasury, and then Zuma steals it.

9.8m vehicles as of 2010.

Lets assume 80% of them are properly licensed, and that the average license fee is R400 per annum.

R3.2bn a year give or take.

The other tax that is also huge is property tax.

Again

How much is that a year?
Who gets it?

Lots of hidden taxes that just disappears into government pockets

No, it goes to National Treasury....

From there it is dispersed to departments and such where portions of it are misappropriated.

I am trying to figure out what your angle is here, these taxes are not new, and honestly no, they are not huge like you think...

Just interested in knowing the total income of these taxes. Sars has these nice tax income breakdowns and i did not see these on it. That let me think that these go to local government.

Property tax income is not small. Pretoria has over 800 000 properties. So what is the total properties of South Africa?

At an average tax of R500 -> R400 million a month -> R4.8 billion per year

Someone has to pay for all the people receiving "free" services.

I think the province gets the motor license tax and local government (the municipality) gets the property tax.

The amounts are huge. That is the only way you can maintain a socialist system in which 5 million taxpayers pick up the tab for 50 million + ungrateful people.
