I got my Defy on RBM last week. Brilliant phone on an epic contract. Loving it to bits.

One problem though, it didn't have the Red bull portal on it and I have no idea how to get it.

Did anyone else have this problem? Any idea for a fix?

Take it back to the shop and if they cant load it ask them for a swap out for out of box failure as the contract stipulates access to RBM portal.

Hi viishrugged - the URL can be accessed from the Bookmarks areas - not from the Home screen. Shout if you need any further assistance.

Hello, I have the same problem, no portal loaded on the Motorola. I checked the browser bookmarks and there's nothing to be found. Do you have a URL?

Thanks Pavan... is this where you're able to view RBM TV? All I seem to be able to access from m.redbullmobile.co.za are a few wallpaper downloads.

Found it under sim toolkit in my applications. Thanks a lot guys. They really should tell you this in your booklet thingy.

I see the sim card link takes you to the m.redbullmobile.co.za URL. Am I missing something or is there nothing to access there apart from some wallpaper downloads? It mentions unlimited access through the portal to RBM TV etc, but there's no link?

Well, if you're seeing an RBM page that doesn't include the video links then you probably dont have the APN set up correctly.

Setting up Android for Internet

1. On the device, press the Menu key.
2. Select Settings > Wireless controls > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
3. Press the Menu key and select New APN.
4. Select Name, enter Redbull Internet and press OK.
5. Select APN, enter mobile.redbullmobile.co.za and press OK.
6. Enter the user name and password listed below. If no value is listed, leave the field blank.
User name:
Password:
7. Select APN type, select default and press OK.
8. Press the Menu key and select Save.
9. Press the radio button next to Redbull Internet to set the profile as default.
10. Press the Home key.
11. Press the Menu key and select Browser.
12. Press the Menu key and select More > Settings > Set home page.
13. Enter http://m.redbullmobile.co.za and press OK.

Thanks for the step by step Pavan. I managed to get data roaming working on Vodacom this morning by creating the mobile.redbullmobile.co.za APN and that's definitely working as I forced network selection to Vodacom and had Internet access. I went through the steps and confirmed all is as you describe but I still go to the redbullmobile "advert" site though when entering http://m.redbullmobile.co.za, not the portal. Any ideas?

OK, I managed to get the RBM portal working on the MB525 and I'm sure these APN settings will work for all handsets, as I found them on a U8800 in the CellC store:

Name: RBM Internet
APN: mobile.redbullmobile.co.za
Proxy: 196.31.116.250
Port: 8080
MCC: 655
MNC: 07
Authentication Type: None
APN type: default,supl

The ones I've left out remain <Not set>

Hi Guys,

Got the Motorola Defy, ( I'm loving it ! ) Was also thinking the lack of official Red bull apps felt a bit lacking.

m.redbullmobile.co.za - does not give any privileged information.

check out this link http://www.redbullmobile.at/info/mobileportal

now this seems like a portal.

Wonder if (m.redbullmobile.co.za) is as good as it gets for us down here in SA.

Good Day All

over seas always have all the apps, just like Apple or Android.
This is because of the rating board, so much red tape, and the money wanted is crazy.
RBM and Cell C are working around the clock to improve the RBM site.
