Motsoeneng splashes out millions on presenters desk: report

Motsoeneng told the Times that the state owned entity did deviate from the normal procurement process. “I have a problem with tenders. I prefer that a company come and make a presentation to us. If we are happy, we give them the job.”
Only cadres allowed.
Fking thief.

Somebody just hit the big time!

R40 Million that they don't even have. Going to take a few years of License fees to pay that back.

He seemed to have successfully got rid of the pesky problem of tenderpreneurs!

Respect!

Wonder what the kick back was worth on this one ? .

Fking arsehole, we don’t even have Digital Terrestrial TV and he spends R40 million on a studio. Is he trying to compete with Multichoice or what! The SABC is a state run enterprise and is funded by advertising and TV licences. No wonder people don’t want to pay their TV licences, when money is wasted by morons that aren’t qualified to run an organisation. This article really spoilt my weekend. I will now think twice before I pay my TV licence.

R28.68 million for system integration?

That will make for an interesting breakdown

Sickening.

Bunch of amoebas running the place and nobody does anything.

This tender situation is becoming stupid now.
No point in tendering if you're giving the work to the most expensive that will give the biggest back hand.

Any pictures of this set available, I am trying to understand how you can blow that amount of cash. Video wall I'm guessing are 9 42 inch LED TVs, if that as an example...

And who's behind Vision View?

The company is owned by former SuperSport employees Mafadi Mpuru and Edward Seane.

According to Mpurus linked in profile he got a diploma from 'damellin' and has a qualification of 'nohting'.

Think Nkandla.
17" screens go at a premium now.

The company that got the job was Vision View Productions ...

"Vision View Productions is a young vibrant company that was founded in 2005 and is spearheaded by the dynamic duo Mafadi Mpuru and Eddie Seane"

“I have a problem with tenders. I prefer that a company come and make a presentation to us".

Fixed

“I have a problem with tenders. I prefer that [-]a company[/-] my buddies come and make a presentation to us.
Zooma style.

Having a look at Vision View's website they are much involved with government, thus,

Motsoeneng told the Times that the state owned entity did deviate from the normal procurement process. “I have a problem with tenders. I prefer that a company come and make a presentation to us. If we are happy, we give them the job.”

ahem... selectively picked.
