One of the most amazing movies I have ever seen. A Polanski masterpiece, himself also a Warsaw ghetto survivor.

And Brody of course....wow

Reminded my so much of the book, "Mila 18".

On par with Schindler's List.

Schindler's List is a bit overrated IMO.

Top Gun* (1986) 7/10

Well structured high action watch. (Still) great visuals, good soundtrack & great chemistry from the two leads.

* I'm a loser for only watching this movie in it's entirety now.

Lol I've been watching through 80s movies lately because I realized that my wife basically didn't watch any movies for a decade

Men in Black international, 3/10,
just like Independence day 2, fell flat on its face, a terrible end to a great franchise.

this is how these things end, with a wimper and not a bang.
guess there wont be another MIB after the fiasco that this was.

Trying to think of a series of movies that got to a 4th sequel that was actually good.....

Perhaps Toy Story 4 will be the first.

Reboot does not really count as a sequel, James bond perhaps, Harry Potter is probably the best example but then it was one long story told over all those movies more than a sequel, which is a new story in general. Anyways, still the exception more than the rule.

Oh, and I massively agree with Mission impossible. The first one was good, by 3 it was largely forgettable. Turning it into an action comedy more by including Simon Pegg made it really good. The last few have been far better than the originals in my opinion.

It's the exception rather than the rule, for sure. Toy Story 4 was legitimately good.

Mad Max: Fury Road is fantastic.

Different question: how many film series' with 4 or more movies were genuinely good initially and got terrible with the latter ones?
