Lights Out. 6/10. Some effective skriks but descends into classic horror cliché and stupid.

Ghostbusters(2016) 6.5/10

Enjoyed that....silly fun. Kate McKinnon is great...Kristen Wiig was decent. I'm tired of Melissa McCarthy.

Miami Vice was underrated and Colin Farrell was brilliant.

It's in my personal top 10 of movies I've watched the most. I just enjoy the coolness and complication of it.

Independence Day 2 - 5/10
I expected a lot from it and it did not deliver. At all. Sure there are some good action scenes, but that's about it. All CGI and no story. And whatever story is there is really over the top and ridiculous. And the acting wasn't much better either. And I quite liked the original (would give it a solid 7.5/10).

Ghostbusters - 6.5/10
I didn't expect too much but it was well worth the watch in the end. I would really not mind a sequel. Too many people watched and expected it to be similar to the original.

Suicide Squad - 7/10
I really enjoyed this movie as well. Read bad reviews and expected the worse. The first half of the movie was a bit of a rush with all the intros and various songs connected to each character (felt like a music video at times) but it wasn't done all that badly. And then the movie settles down nicely in the second half. No real bad acting. Good solid action movie. Looking forward to a sequel.

Satanic - 3.5/10
Group of kids obsessed with Satanism goes on a satanic-inspired tour of California...
I expected it to be B-grade horror. The acting and the production values was anything but. Solid acting and quality feel to it. And that's where it ends. Bad storyline. Slow and boring. No real scares.

All comments that apply to the original :p

Mr. Church - 7/10 ...... Eddie Murphy pulls it off just right, was quite surprised.

Captain Fantastic - 8/10 ..... pleasantly surprised by this.

Was in a drama type of mood yesterday and wasn't disappointed with those 2 at all.

Was off work with a bug and watched Into the wild (2007?) again. Great watch and would recommend to those that haven't seen it. 7.5/10

Captain Fantastic (2016) 8/10

Thought provoking; witty; informative & just well adapted. Excellent watch. Viggo Mortensen owns his role.

I see the movie is directed by Matt Ross (Gavin Belson from Silicon Valley)...respect.

Don't Breathe (2016) 7.5/10

An easy 7.5. One intense nail-biting home invasion thriller.Plot twist + great flow seal the deal. 1h30min well spent.

Watching 7 Samurai in piecemeal the last few nights. Absolutely loving it. So far 10/10, a nearly flawless movie.

A few years old but I highly recommend it. Drug syndicate style but done with intelligence, wit and creative flair. Star studded cast but it's Javier Bardem whose performance was nothing short or spectacular. Bruno Ganz...now that was some incredible dialogue delivered. Cameron Diaz who I don't particularly like at all did an exceptional job of pulling this one off as well. Ferrari golf course scene must rate as one of the funniest I've ever seen anywhere. One of my all time favourite movies and gets a full ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cartel injected stars from me.
