Another 5 star review of a crappy movie, really? If you're gonna go renegade on the standard scoring system at least put some thought into your scores.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople 6/10. it was funny and I liked the kid but the director was trying too hard to be Wes Anderson (the movie is basically Up meets Moonlight Kingdom) without that director's ability to craft memorable secondary characters who aren't cringingly annoying.

Sausage Party - 8/10 ....... Even knowing what to expect didn't prepare me. Silly and rude, ridiculous and x-rated, just fun to watch.

Trolls (2016) - 5/10

It won't go down as a memorable animation but it had it's moments (in fact, seemed to have a "moment" every time I start to lose interest). For example, when the the one troll started singing "Hello darkness my old friend..." I nearly died...the timing was just great.

Story is that amazing either. They go on a mission, Justin Timberlake sings I've Got This Feeling and everybody lives happily ever after. Music is great in this one!

Not worth watching unless your one eye happens to catch it while the kids are engrossed in it.

I have a good Criterion copy with up to date subs, apparently they're the best.

A little old but worth the watch. Good and solid performances all round. One of the very few movies that conveys a sense of speed and gets the adrenaline pumping. For HT buffs this is the one to show off your sound setup with. Incredible sound design and flawless audio. This one will give your sub/s a serious workout.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a half high octane filled stars from me. Loses half a star because I felt it could have been little longer in duration.

No no no....this is going in the wrong direction. The focus on action is losing this franchise it's fan base that enjoyed it for the story. 7/10

Pretty funny comedy with a fair amount of laughs. Will appeal even more to Moms.

Good family fun. Nothing too serious. CG everywhere but done well enough to be really believable. Well adapted from the Dahl novel but Sophie became a little annoying at times. Would recommend this for kids of all ages (myself included lol). Didn't quite have the emotional impact intended but an overall decent watch. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ giant sized stars from me.
