Movie Mini-Review Thread - Part II

Really enjoyed this one. Pace was spot on. A nice "roller coaster" of a ride without the ridiculous antics of Bond or Bourne. A no holds barred expose that bordered on documentary style film making. Great performances all round. Slightly long but one I watched to the end without feeling sleepy.

Finally Nic Cage gets a role in a decent movie even if it was just a cameo.

Biographical movie of boxer Roberto Durán. Better than I thought. I would say De Niro showing some form again. Damn Ana de Armas is super hot in any role.

Sorry, ended up watching November's Survivor Series (WWE) instead. My take on the three hours plus? That last bit with Lesnar and Goldberg should have been stretched, unless they were worried Goldberg would drop dead of a heart attack.

About a 3/10. But the squib enjoyed it.

Inferno was apparently rubbish. I'm keen on watching the new Paul Verhoeven flick. Was really impressed with his work on Robocop and Total Recall.

I've seen some of his earlier work and it looks like his latest is getting some save reviews especially for the lead actress.

Moana - 7/10 I really did enjoy it and there's a lot to admire - the animation is another step up, Maui is very likable, and the songs are uniformly strong - but the themes were overstuffed and too earnest, Moana herself grated on me, and the plot lurched around like her little raft. Relatively disappointed.

Sully - 7/10 ....... Pretty cool drama based on the true story

Morgan 5/10. They tried to make a Hannah/Ex Machina hybrid and failed. It goes from slow to stupid.
