LOL!

Asking folks if they'd recommend Battlefield Earth is how they do head injury assessments during rugby games.
Ok maybe Joe didn't recommend it but he spoke about it. I mean I expect better from Face Off / Grease actor Johan Travolta.

IDK, it isn't a completely terrible movie, there is far worse stuff out there. But I think it is a movie that was released at the wrong time(much like judge dredd), of course the script and story could have been better, the acting wasn't exactly great either. But to be fair, I would NEVER recommend it......lol.

Yeah I am a fan of the original judge dredd, Special effects for the time wasn't half bad.Was into the comics at the time. I do watch it every few years.I will admit perhaps not the best cast for the movie or script, but it was an enjoyable movie. It had that comic feel to it which I enjoyed.I guess the movie suffered more with regards to it's age rating.

Fan of the Karl Urban Judge Dredd.

Tried to watch Demolition Man again a while ago. Couldn't... So many 90s and early 00s action movies have aged terribly.

Thanks, will watch that later.

I've had Blade waiting for a rewatch for a while now too... Enjoyed it back then, nervous now.

Blade 2 holds up, the fight scene at the start where he fights those two infiltrators in front of the floodlights is still one of my favourite action scenes. There's a moment where it cuts to a front Mortal Kombat kind of game view and it's heavy on the CG and I love it. Haven't watch the first in a while.

CGI looks a little dated but still a great one. I've only been watching 90s or early 2000 movies lately :)
Yeah, covid made the new movie release pipeline woeful.

My rewatch list has stretched a little further back than yours 'tho, and includes names like Humphrey Bogart, John Wayne, James Stewart, and Cary Grant.

Demo man for the time was pretty good. Most memorable scene was the rat burger. I think my favorite movie from that time was speed.

Cool Hand Luke long done, along with Butch Cassidy, The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, The Sting, Absence of Malice, The Verdict, The Colour of Money, and my personal favourites, The Road to Perdition and The Hudsucker Proxy.

Towering incoming.

Speed holds up pretty well actually.

Related, so does Point Break.
Of course, we forgetting pulp fiction, shawshank, green mile, fight club and silence of the lambs. Horror wise the necronomicon the book of the dead, in the mouth of madness, aliens series, fav of mine, event horizon, holds a special place as the best space horror, some really didn't enjoy it, but lately is has become a cult classic.
