Of course, we forgetting pulp fiction, shawshank, green mile, fight club and silence of the lambs. Horror wise the necronomicon the book of the dead, in the mouth of madness, aliens series, fav of mine, event horizon, holds a special place as the best space horror, some really didn't enjoy it, but lately is has become a cult classic.
Favorite Johan Travolta scene ever...

Cool Hand Luke long done, along with Butch Cassidy, The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, The Sting, Absence of Malice, The Verdict, The Colour of Money, and my personal favourites, The Road to Perdition and The Hudsucker Proxy.

Towering incoming.
I am a fan of disaster movies, without a doubt is the first movie from that era I can say did a great job. Lately disaster movies have been lackluster, looking at you moonfall.

Another 80's movie you may have missed, worth a watch, is runaway train with jon voight

Joe Rogan recommends this movie! I'm going to try it this weekend.

"Amazing movie", directed by Oscar winner Roger Christian. I don't want to oversell it but if you haven't seen it you need to watch it this weekend!

Nobody's Fool is an underrated gem, imho.

...And this, Where The Money Is, was Paul Newman's final starring role in a film. Not a classic like so many of his others, but worth a watch.

Wow, the book is still ok-ish (but far from great)...the movie on the other hand is uh....well, you'll find out.

Great movies listed here. I also love Event Horizon. I will add the Excorcist, Jaws, Indiana Jones and Star Wars

Lightyear (2022) - 5/10. A story that doesn't make sense on any level and is full of pointless time-wasting distractions and drags on far too long, a cast of featureless characters, Chris Evans has no personality, the animation is next-gen. Probably the worst Pixar movie to date.

So why the 5/10 rating then?
Worst Pixar movie deserves a 2 or 3. You have numbers 0 through 10 for a reason. Use them :p

The worst Pixar movie is still better than 80% of movies out there.
I'd say Pixar went downhill after John Lasseter and some others, so the 80% doesn't really hold lately.
Currently they are about on par with the other Disney & Marvel releases, which is to say not very high.

Sad. The trailer looked really cool. They haven't released a great movie in years though.

I haven't seen Lightyear yet btw.

They still release great films. Soul was very good, Turning Red was also decent. I don't agree with you. But they aren't as consistent as they used to be, no question.
