Wel, nope was a pot kak. Why? Social commentary doesn't really belong "in a normal" cinama setup. And the greater reason was everyone being jags about getting the alien shot when they could have ended the movie in the first odd 30 or 40 mins after escaping it. Actually, you have 2 literal same plots, well 3, running at the same time where all three is about getting the perfect shot which totally ****ed the movie for me. Of course I can understand the "deeper" meaning but imho there was none. Finally why did the director not just keep with the original shape of the ufo? That baloon shifting kak in the contributed nothing but more alienating what he already had and we've not yet even begin to cover if it hangs there in the cloud for years and years, why nothing happened before that moment on that horse with that guy? lol?

In all honesty Close Encounters of The Third Kind was better; Get out was better and so on.

Anyways: een man se pot-kak is 'n ander man se AAA.
No way. I found no holes in Nope. I love scifi.

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT: They are in the film industry and that cameraman/director is passionate about his work. They wanted to be the first people to get actual clear footage of UAPs. However, they discover it's an extraterrestrial animal. The shape-shifting is crucial to convey that it's not a machine/spaceship. I get the feeling that the alien animal first scoped the surrounding slowly learning what it can and can't do. Obviously, the ending shows why it was dormant for years before coming active (hungry), be careful what you eat.

This movie reminds me Skinwalker Ranch.

Parallel Mothers (2022) - 9/10.

Another masterpiece from Petro Almodovar. Is he the most consistent director ever? Entertaining, moving, and beautiful. Penelope Cruz aged like fine wine.

Go (1999) 7/10

Top notch crime comedy. Very Pulp Fiction inspired. A fun high energy watch with a good ensemble cast. Unpredictable.

Fall (2022) 6.5/10

Slightly “dumb“ survival thriller with lots of plot holes, visually looks good. Lots of tension & curve balls at every turn. High on thrills.

One of the chicks climbs with an outfit that has boobs & cleavage aplenty, makes it distracting to focus on the story.

I posted a message about this foreign movie in the Trailer thread back in April, but seems even Drinker eventually got around to do a review of it.
