Cool idea that doesn't really go anywhere interesting with it. Nice 80's neon aesthetic but also a cast of unlikeable characters.

Speed (1994) 7.5/10

A rewatch, 30 years old this year, I vividly member watching this on MNet in '96! It holds up so well, one of the (many) iconic action films of the 90's. Lest we not forget nail-biting suspense at the jump scene, how everything just plays out. It's a class act & the chemistry & likability of Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock is a-game stuff.

Special mention must go to Alan Ruck's deadpan humour as well as a shoutout to the score.

Do I need to have watched the 80's Bettlejuice to enjoy the 2024 release?

I would say yes. Then it all makes more sense

Watched Beetlejuice (1988) to refresh the memory banks. Still a decent movie but the CGI is horrible watching it now - 6.5/10.
Will be watching the new one sometime over the weekend.

A very unique Godzilla movie that deals with the political side of things. Most of the movie is just cabinet meetings where they discuss how best to deal with the situation. But it's one of the best Godzilla movies I've seen and the destruction caused by this one is insane. Also THE best and most devestating fire breath scene of all time. The soundtrack is also brilliant.

Watched the Japanese version btw. The English version is terrible. Avoid at all costs lol.

This is Demi Moore's best performance ever! I was glued to the screen for 2h20mins and not just because of the booty.
One of the best horror / thriller / dark comedies I've every watched. Damn that was messed up
