The Substance (2024) 8 / 10
This is Demi Moore's best performance ever! I was glued to the screen for 2h20mins and not just because of the booty.
One of the best horror / thriller / dark comedies I've every watched. Damn that was messed up

Nice, it is a long watch so want a solid uninterrupted window hence for the delay in my review lol

A very unique Godzilla movie that deals with the political side of things. Most of the movie is just cabinet meetings where they discuss how best to deal with the situation. But it's one of the best Godzilla movies I've seen and the destruction caused by this one is insane. Also THE best and most devestating fire breath scene of all time. The soundtrack is also brilliant.

Watched the Japanese version btw. The English version is terrible. Avoid at all costs lol.

I enjoyed this also - there are "Shin" versions of Ultraman and Kamen Rider that are also fun (Ultraman in particular). Worth seeking out.

The Wild Robot 8.5/10. I love to see Dreamworks taking risks on new unconventional stories and experimenting with animation styles, especially when it pays off like this. Are Dreamworks surpassing Disney and Pixar? I am inclined to think maybe so.

The movie was good, very entertaining up till a point. Then it went full blown wtf

Cronenberg-esque body horror. Completely off the charts ito of narrative, direction & visuals, You need a strong stomach & yet I could not look away! Easily the most original, left-field & f'ed up film of '24! Go for it but take heed, don't have a chow while watching! The special effects were damn good, Demi Moore & Margaret Qualley were phenomenal. Tons of nudity & graphic scenes. There is a ton of depth here.

Hell no. Go look at the list of Dreamworks Animation movies. The vast majority released over the last few years are bland and really not good at all.

Puss in Boots 2 is one of the only good ones. Even the last Kung Fu Panda, Croods, How to Train Your Dragon etc were all a bit meh. Others like Bad Guys were trash imo

Mind you, the last great Pixar movie was 2017's Coco but I still feel like the majority of Pixar movies are a bit better and more creative than Dreamworks'.

Haven't seen Wild Robots or Inside Out 2 yet.
