Got this on my watch list and I see Lamb also dropped yesterday. Hope they're as off the beaten path as they look.Titane 8/10. As a fan of David Cronenberg I enjoyed this nod to some of his earlier work but pays the most homage to his controversial Crash.
...or maybe Hacksaw Ridge, eh @RanzB ?
I'd really recommend it. I really liked the movie, but there is so much more depth in the book. A lot of great character development has been (probably necessarily) left out, but it helps fill out a really cool world. What am I missing here?
Dune - 7/10
I agree with all the things praising it, but as someone who's never read the book or watched previous movies/series of it, I felt like there were some things done not great, and some things that let it down.
The score wasn't really for me, the old standby of a woman wailing in any desert/Middle Eastern setting was a bit of a letdown. The choreography wasn't the best, except for the last fight. The voiceovers were a bit hacky in some instances.
And the biggest letdown for me were some of the editing choices.
That being said, I really enjoyed it. It's crazy to think that a 2.5 hour movie seemed too short, but I'm really looking forward to the next one.
Think I may jump into the books soon.
In my head, your mostly one man crusade against Hacksaw Ridge was a couple years ago. Turns out the movie is from 2016.What am I missing here?

Extremely weird slow burner drama. Really hard to make heads or tails on this film. Good setting & casting.
Yebo, Sat I think already. It's out
