Ouch.

"Red Notice has nowhere to hide, and you can see that this is not a movie meant to be watched. It’s not meant for you to sit down and enjoy what you’re watching because you like these actors, and you want to see them on a globe-trotting caper. Red Notice is meant to be played. You press “play” and then you goof around on your phone or fold laundry because Red Notice was designed for your consumption, not your attention because the second you pay it any mind, you see that’s it just the hollow version of something that was actually worth your emotional engagement."

Finch (2021) 7/10

I am such a sucker anything Tom Hanks (THanks) & he once again shines here. A post apocalyptic tale about a man, his dog and a robot. Friendship & trust is name of the game. Beautiful cinematography & visual effects.

I watched it yesterday, it was pretty good. You can't ever fault Tom Hanks.

Red Notice (2021) 6.5/10

Slightly lacklustre story & lazy writing however there is a good level of action & comedy and the trio of Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot & Dwayne Johnson play well off each other.

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S build-up scene was funny.

No Time to Die (2021) 7.5/10

Hefty running time aside it was a very satisfying watch. Good level of depth for a Bond film. Final act is emotionally heavy, Hans Zimmer scores a fantastic score. Pretty well wrapped up & a good swan song as DC's final role as 007.

No Time To Die - 6/10. They seemed to want to go old school with this complete with the villian and his eye rollingly bad world domination monologues, not to far from Dr Evil actually.

Yeah, got that feel for it too.

6/10 too.

I liked the locations they used. They really got around. Fun Bond, but I'm also glad to see the back of this brooding version of the oke.

Let's get back to the old school :p
Ana de Armas looked yummy AF!

Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings.

6/10
Lekker SFX and some witty banter moments in the script.
Shot in that new school Chinese cinema way and pays homage to that style of cinema well.

As for the MCU storyline, I felt they swinging wildly to get it in there and I suppose it'll pay off again later.
But these were characters I'm not familiar with, so I look forward to what's coming next!

Also watched Bond last night...lots of action and great scenery. I still have no idea what the movie was about though.
Meh....

So no other ideas came to mind except an Island with an underground missile facility with bio-weapons that no one noticed was being built.

Shang Chi 6.5/10. Some really great action and the homage to Chinese cinema is real with Michele Yeoh and Tony Leung, but let down by a terribly fragmented story (and Awkwafina gets on my nerves)

Shang Che 6.5/10 - There was an over-reliance on CG where everything just started to look cartoonish. Some chuckles here and there but Marvel has its run course - as all of them follow the same beats.
