Hi guys,

Hope you are well?

I need some advice/help. Last month Supersonic made me aware that they were terminating my service due to FNO costs being to high. The service was subsequently cancelled on 31 Jan.

I decided to move to afrihost; however Afrihost cannot process my order because Supersonic still holds the line with Link Africa and thus are unable to migrate. Every-time i chat with Supersonic's sales/cancellations division i'm getting the run around that they escalated with Link Africa and will send me a confirmation.

Surely, this process doesn't take a whole week?

Any ideas on what i can do to get this process done?

Not sure how easy it is to contact Link Africa directly, but I recently transferred a Frogfoot fibre line between ISPs and when it hadn't been done after a day and a half I contacted Frogfoot customer services to ask how long the process would usually take. The said they'd look into it and within an hour it was done. Can't be certain my query sped things up, but I suspect it did so worth a shot imo. (I know the operating model is supposed to involve us going through ISPs rather than dealing with FNOs directly, but these situations where one is 'between' ISPs are a bit tricky)

Thank you, I'll try and get hold for Link. Hopefully they can sort this mess out soon.

Hi

Please send us a pm for us to have a look for you

I've resorted to swearing and rudeness. So far, that's the approach that worked the best. Fck these companies and the hoops you have to jump through to get things you pay for, done.

I don't blame you; this is absolutely ridiculous. :(

Yeah, fck the "sorry, I just work here" wall you hit so often. It even works in banks  I mean, why do I have to make a scene first, then you can assist, where you could simply have assisted from the start.

Precisely, it's genuinely not that hard.

You just have to take some interest, and get to the bottom of it. Like in my case, why do i need to speak to Link Africa to find out what's going on. Surely, these guys can see that i placed the order almost 4 weeks ago and given that the order is still open. Surely, something isn't right and needs to be sorted out asap.

The whole services industry in this country is horrendous.
