Hi Guys

So im moving into a new complex in 2 weeks time. The complex does have fibre already laid by SA Digital Villages.

However i do have quite a few options in terms of ISP, namely.

1.AccelritWireless
2.Afrihost
3.Axxess
4.Cape Connect
5. Cool Ideas
6. EasyWeb
7.Home-Connect
8.Imagine
9.Level-7
10.Nepic
11.RocketNet
12.RsaWeb
13.Sa Digital Villages
14.Vodacom
15.Webafrica

Now im going for at least 10mb (possibly 50) due to the amount of streaming thats going to be happening (Dstv now, youtube and gaming all at the same time.

Which do you guys recommend as an ISP? Im coming from ADSL 4mb so i got no clue with who is decent in regards to Fibre.

Im wanting to know from a support and performance point of view. Busy with the pricing :).

I personally would choose a bigger player if possible.

The reason is service. At 22h30 on the weekend when there is an issue with your line, the smaller guys are less likely to have somebody to take your support call (my experience with a smaller ISP who is not on your list).

I have found the big players as you call it, have worse service than the smaller players. I have had issues at 23:30 before, and it was resolved by their it staff without me logging a call within an hour.

Big players have become complacent

For me it is not so much big vs small.

I am with Cool Ideas now, and am happy with their pricing, their speed and their service. What I also like is that I can use my own router - with SADV as your ISP, you have to use their router. I much prefer using my own router.

Cool Ideas pricing is competitive and they don't try to lock you in with a contract.

So, am I the only person who read the title to the tune of "Moving to the country, gonna eat a lot of peaches"?

Happens weekly to me, think you are tired or you read what you want to read. (Thinking of leaving the country)

OP, another vote for Cool Ideas. Yes they aren’t big, don’t have afterhours support, but Paul is on this forum and when you have a fibre break they are in anyway not going to fix it at night.

Out of that lot CISP (Paul) sticks out for me (as he has an active forum account) - sadly Crystalweb don't feature, but then again they have been banned from the Forum.
