Hey guys,

Can I get a review of the areas around and between Table View and Bloubergstrand?

What areas should I look to avoid and what are good areas here?

I know Parklands is full of Nigerian drug and prostitute pushers... (Well that what I have been told)

Thanks!

Can confirm with the Nigerians statement.

Not familiar with Table View side. But Dunoon is a township close by that blocks the N7 regularly so keep that in mind

Yep, you want to stay away from Parklands, lots of parts of Sunningdale and anything too far east.

The suburbs west of the R27 are generally where you want to be looking, parts of Table View and Flamingo Vlei are good spots too but best would be to drive around a take a look for yourself. It's not really possible to blanket recommend one suburb as it will obviously depend on your budget and one suburb can also have good areas and bad areas.

Table view around flamingo vlei is decent.
Some of those complexes in Big bay are nice but the nice ones are very expensive. The cheaper ones are built on top of each other.
Sunningdale is also nice but next to Parklands. The stark difference between the two areas is amazing as there is basically just a draining river between the two. That's South Africa for you.

Where are you going to work?

that oil refinery smell
You must have very acute smell

Been in Table View for almost 10 years and it's really not something that's ever bothered me unless I'm driving to Makro. It's only ever been noticeable on very rare occasions when it's been very hot or humid for days with no wind (which is extremely rare).

Parklands is a massive area and as long as you stay away from the parts next to the river you'll probably be fine.

Stay away from blocks of flats if at all possible, not just in Parklands but anywhere really.

Don't confusing Parklands with Parklands North. Parklands North / Sunningdale are quite decent.

So I am moving from Linden, Randburg. Really looking for a place that is similar or a Pretoria East vibe. Linke Lynnwood, Brooklyn, Etc.

What is Somerset West like?

I am looking for at least 2 beds and spacious. Not an apartment building.
