I don't think suspending him takes the matter of the table, but if I was in their position I would have allowed him to have his say, then dismiss his RET behind back to KZN for a totally unrelated matter that will arise out of nowhere at a later stage.
I suppose we'll have to see if it carries on being tabled or they attempt to quietly ignore it...

But yeah, at the end of the day there were other ways to make this go away instead of suspending him.

Impressive... this could backfire horribly on the RET faction if they actualyl do more than scratch the surface.

**CAVEAT**
Though it is IOL, so it could be all bollocks.

Desperate times. We always go back to rosy days of 1994 when life was good for everyone, everything was working, tomatoes were penny a dozen - till the apartheid came in via ANC.
Nice trade hey? Dompas/Voting rights for a destroyed country.

Rosy indeed...shem.

I thought EFF had only Mpofu as a lawyer and I mean in the leadership. This is news. EFF seems to earn lot of money lawyering. Interesting.
Dirks' legal strategy was being spearheaded by former EFF secretary-general Godrich Gardee.

It's ok Mkhuleko Hlengwa. You and Sisulu and every other suddenly very loud mouth within the ANC have one thing in common: You were all veeeeeeery quiet during Zuma's tenure.

I wonder why hmmmmm? Gravy pot running low is it?

If you google his name, does your post make sense?

Thanks, it will interesting to hear what was before first statement. Second statement "in this case" suggests that first statement could have been like "It has been alleged that investigations will reveal..." ?

She told the commission that one of the ANC’s Zuma supporters in the National Assembly, former Msunduzi councillor Mervyn Dirks, had made it clear to her that her decision to follow her conscience contrary to the ANC leadership’s directive, was unacceptable. In her evidence she said Dirks had “a serious bone to pick with me”.

In her affidavit she quoted a social media post by Dirks which said, “All of us must submit to the ANC position before we can attend any portfolio committee meeting as ANC MPs. We cannot have an ANC study group position called Conscience when we go to portfolio committee meetings”.

Looks like something is going to come back to haunt our hero.
