So I must save up for two firearms. The July Riots, and then there was a clip on social media (in Vredenburg I think), where an assailant armed with a spade terrorised an elderly couple demanding money, their security gate was nearly broken and he clearly intended to hurt/kill them. A gun would have solve that problem for them and future victims.

But if you allow every police officer "worth his salt" to make such deductions then you end up with a mess. Rather, do things procedurally for the sake of the gun owner. If all is above board, then they won't get into trouble.

All it needs is the mothers of these scoundrels to visit the police station canvassing them as angels.

He/She should have asked them to leave then wait for the police to come and remove them. Only the police (a special division that doesn't exist) can remove the trespassers. This is the dumb law being enacted.

Its unfortunate but its how we have to live thanks to useless things like Cele and Squirrel who dont care...

I'm sure Gun Free South Africa are highly disgusted at the prevention of this crime, and that the man was able to defend himself.

How do you even determine every police officer is capable of reading a crime scene like that? Where in the world do all police officers have that ability? At least the 2 won't hurt another person. Hope the homeowner gets his guns back soon.
