The ANC murder rate during apartheid is quite well hidden from the public. I tried finding more info after learning the extent from a member posting on this thread.
Both state and ANC hid their murders fairly well. Both destroyed their personnel and intel files after '91.

Who was disenfranchised by the ANC? You apologists with your false equivalents. What's next?
So tax paying South Africans was not allowed to vote during Apartheid?
Did the National Party prevent black people from voting in the Bantustans?

EDIT: Btw, you made the equivalent...

Vote for what? Who were the decision makers? Who formulated and enforced policy? Bantustan elections were like municipal elections.

This explains a lot actually.

bru - you opened the gates. Now, there is going to be lot of false equivalence and we will know how "some" are going through holocaust, genocide and what not.

Consider yourself absent from phuza thursday meeting this week.

You forgot to add the "wow" emoji to my post...
Nah! I've encountered far worst apartheid apologists. I was just shocked you'd lay it bare. Then again, I've seen your posts in other threads so I have a clear picture what I'm dealing with.

From a comment in DM, for interest:

"Philemon Lukhele was SRC President of Wits University in 2004 – on the ANC ticket. His thuggery and intimidation back then culminated in him (and other cronies) holding university staff members hostage during the 2005 student elections. I remember Wits initially instituting legal charges but later withdrawing those charges, under intense pressure from the ANC in the Province / district.
His thuggery then went unchecked by Wits while the ANC in the province exerted huge pressure to help Philemon out of a difficult spot. PODEMO, well they declined to sanction a ‘rising star’. Now their star / thug has (allegedly) violently extinguished the life of another. I wonder if Wits, the former regional ANC leadership and PODEMO will reflect back on their decisions in 2005 and consider whether Hillary Gardee might be with us today had they had the courage to uphold the law when it was broken back then…"
