Well, considering Ace is not even charged yet, jail is surely unthinkable at this stage. Never say never comrade. ;)
My favorite part and I hope Ace reads it.
“Magashule must not confuse the unwillingness to investigate allegations of corruption due to the capture of law enforcement agencies in the Free State by an ANC faction, with a presumption of innocence

#AceMagashule claims his office is under siege

Johannesburg - ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule believes the secretariat of the governing party at its headquarters, Luthuli House, is under siege, which was why his deputy Jessie Duarte’s phone was hacked and one of his staff members was poisoned.

In an interview with Independent Media, Magashule said they knew of efforts to undermine the secretariat of the party, which is considered the engine of the organisation, with the former Free State premier seen as the chief executive. “There is an intensified effort to undermine and injure the SGO (secretary-general's office),” Magashule said.

“Not long ago, the deputy secretary general’s (Duarte) social media accounts were hacked; now an employee of the organisation in my office was poisoned. I can confirm that Chris Ackeer, who is a manager in the office, has been poisoned and is currently hospitalised,” he said.

I don't think this will go down well for him in the long run though...
I would guess the NEC was fairly explicit that this is his baby to resolve....

So Mr. Ten Percent is whining about abuse of state resources and spying when that was the very hallmark of his buddy Zuma's entire tenure. He captured the police, hawks, crime intel, SSA and had them spying on and trumping up charges to rid himself of inconvenient public servants who wouldn't dance to his tune. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, our Ace is all hot and bothered. Worse, he's imagining it all.

Interesting development: https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2019-07-12-ramaphosa-signs-off-on-siu-probe-into-ace-linked-asbestos-deal/
A R255m Free State government deal that dates back to 2014 bears the fingerprints of then Free State Premier and current ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule. Thanks to a new proclamation signed by President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Special Investigating Unit will finally start to follow the cash flows of this contentious contract. This may turn out to be a significant development in the ongoing tussle for control between the governing party’s two foremost power blocs.

Nothing will come of this
On the contrary IMO. The author of the article Pieter-Louis Myburgh is none other than the one who wrote THE book that started this thread, Gangster State - Unraveling Ace Magashule’s Web of Capture.
According to a press release from the Presidency in late 2018 regarding other SIU matters, the unit is “mandated in terms of the Special Investigating Units and Special Tribunal Act . . . to investigate serious malpractices or maladministration in connection with the administration of state institutions, state assets and public money as well as any conduct which may seriously harm the interests of the public.”

If any senior political figures or officials do get implicated in any misconduct related to the asbestos deal, Ramaphosa will be the first to know about it.

“The SIU submits a final report to the President upon the conclusion of each investigation conducted. SIU reports include recommendations on interventions such as disciplinary action, criminal prosecution or civil litigation in instances where wrongdoing is identified,” reads the 2018 press release.

Should the SIU implicate the ANC SG in any such wrongdoing, Ramaphosa would have no choice but to enforce the unit’s recommended interventions, even if said recommendations include something as drastic as criminal prosecution.

The investigation into the Free State’s asbestos saga may, therefore, turn out to be a significant development. It has the potential of toppling the foremost figure in an ANC grouping that clearly doesn’t really want Ramaphosa to lead either the country or the party.

There will be mysterious assassinations of key role players.
There already have been mysterious assassinations: https://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/vrede-dairy-farm-project-whistleblower-found-murdered-20181023
As the North Gauteng High Court hears the DA's application for the review of Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane's report on the Vrede dairy farm project on Tuesday, it has emerged that one of the whistleblowers in the project has been murdered.

The body of Philemon Ngwenya, 53, of Thembalihle near Vrede, was found in his shack at Knelvlei Farm, outside Vrede, on Friday, police spokesperson Sergeant Mmako Mophiring said in a statement on Monday.
