MS Access - Online Alternative

Hello,

This has been a long journey for me, but I will try keep it short here.

Ive been using MS Access for a internal database at work. But now I want to host it in the cloud.

Office 365 Sharepoint does 90% of the job but i can't do a text search in a column and this breaks the whole thing.

The simplest option i see is a ODBC link to MySQL. However, ive never done this before and all the tutorials ive found quickly end up in some heavy sql code that i really would rather avoid.

Any tips?

How about an MSSQL instance in Azure?

There are ways to enable text search in a column. Just you have to find a work around. Example: http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/103239/find-an-item-search-multiline-text

Sharepoint is basically the best option you going to find esp if you want to keep the Access background.

If you want to go MySQL then drop Access completely.
