MTN 3G 1Gig + 1Gig Databundle troubles!!!!!

Hi, is there a possiblity to request a daily data usage log from MTN for 3G

I have a MyChoice 75 contract and recently requested the 1Gig + 1Gig bundle to be added. After standing and waiting to be served at the Service Provider - MTNSP for 1hour, I was told they had no idea about the promotion, they had to find out first! This was in April! (on the 2nd)

The request to add the bundle went through on the afternoon of the 2nd of April, and the only way for me to check if the bundle was available was to use MTNActive. It seemed to have been activated on the 3rd, so I happily downloaded about 700MB.

To my suprize I found out a week later, that the bundle in fact had not gone through (are we supposed to know this through osmosis?) and slapped with a prelim bill for 1000 odd bucks! billed at out of bundle rates instead of taking it off the databundle! :mad:

Hence the question, can one request a daily data usage log for the 3G? :confused:

Please help!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your saga, same thing (sort of) happened to me when I joined MTN last year.

I found that the only way to get efficient service out of either Vodacom or MTN (or any of the banks for that matter) is to lodge a complaint on www.hellopeter.co.za. Trying all the various call centers will just frustrate the living daylights out of you.

I found that VC and MTN ussually contacts you within 5 hours of you loggin a complaint at hello peter. You might hold for about the same amount of time when calling their call centers.

Hi Psynaptik

Welcome to the club. For some reason I have had to good fortune of experiencing many of the problems plaguing MTN’s service in one go. I joined up at the MTN Cherry Lane service centre in Brooklyn PTA round about the 10th of March. I was told that my bundle would kick in on the 13th. That turned out the 14th, too bad I downloaded 320 MB in the space of one day at R1,20 a MB. Imagine the surprise I got last week,,,,
This was in spite of me enquiring during one of my many conversations with MTN’s billing department (for reasons posted on this forum a while ago) if I had used any data out of my bundle. I was told that I had not.
