Mtn Active & Email Statements

I just checked the MTN ACTIVE web site & noticed the latest statement for download is 26.02.2007. WTF? Today is 15 April.

Last week I had to fight with a dude @ 808 to get my statements emailed to me as I had not received them. It was the same story the previous month.

He wanted to tell me there was nothing wrong with their systems & that my e-mail address was at fault. Wouldnt believe that my e-mail was 100% OK!!!

It's about time MTN listen to their customers & sort their systems out.

Pitbull, you confirmed last time that it was a system back end error (whatever that is). Is it going to happen again?

Your 808 call centre should be advised when these things happen. What is the use to phone 808 if these guys know nothing.

Same here, since i signed up in November 2006 i have not received a SINGLE statement . I have not received anything via email OR mail. I think i'm gonna switch it back to snail mail , if they want to spend more on paper and postage than so be it.

I recommend MTN adjust their system to allow me to "activate and confirm" my email adress. You know like 99% of all corporates do?

It works like this:

1. You go on MTN site, you change your email adress.
2. MTN then sends you a "confirmation email" IMMEDIATELY to the adress you selected
3. You go into your email and click on the linky that says "confirm your email"
4. You are back at MTN site and a little checkbox appears behind the email adress indicating that it is valid and confirmed.


I mean seriously now, MTN is sending STATEMENTS and ACCOUNT details without any form of confirmation?


On the "up side" with this fiasco, i don't receive ANY MTN communication [i.e. no advertisements or spam stuff].

MTN Active also takes forever to update with the latest info on your account. My account is constantly in non-legal state for some unknown reason! its not like i don't pay MTN!!!!

I dont think they are out of the woods yet if the escalations im taking are anything to go by

There was no need to call 808, yay

Yea something happened received like a whole bunch of invoice/statement/billing
detail on friday in my email [i never got that in last 6 months] . Irony is i changed my setting to have statements snail-mailed.... . As long as i get something it's good i guess.
