Isnt this what Crystal Web wanted to do with that XtremeTTH thing? They claimed they had an international search giant (AOL?) in partnership... I guess everything from Shaun Kaplan's mouth is horseschit. Nice to see MTN at it though! :D

So what real world speeds can we expect when this is widespread? Am I too optimistic if I think 50Mbps?

Who will be reporting MTN and Huawei to the ASSA for misleading advertising :)
For crying out loud, 5G hasnt been properly standardised yet!

Who remembers when LTE came round and everybody started using the term 4G...history has a way of repeating itself

It's a trial to demonstrate a technology... to whom are they advertising?

Note the smiley face, was said tongue in cheek :)

Indeed it is a trial but if they can keep using the 5G terminology as much as possible it kind of sets a precedent...in 1-2 years time ICASA/Voda/MTN/CelllC will be having a court case or 2 on this matter I promise you.

Who remembers this? https://mybroadband.co.za/news/cellular/31954-4g-network-fight-draws-to-a-close.html
