So a while ago I complained to MTN about very poor reception at home. I am lucky if I get 1 bar 3G, other than that I normally just get EDGE.

This morning someone from MTN phoned and said they are offering me an arial and router to try and solve the issue. Shortly after that I got an email from lastmile technologies confirming that a call has been logged.

Any one else had this?

Its a service we provide in some cases, but its extremely limited a decision as there are not many units, you do have to meet a certain expenditure criteria too so I wouldn't advertise this too much.

My data spend with MTN is about R 500 pm. When contacted the help desk they gave me a reference number. Shortly afterward I got contacted by Last Mile technologies who arrived and installed a 4G antennae for me. I'm very chuffed with their service. Thus the reason for my post elsewhere on this forum as I want to buy an LTE router now.

You sir are lucky. I on the other hand consider myself lucky when I get a 3g signal.

I have a LTE router and invested in a poyntings setup and have now been waiting 3 weeks after a sim swap for my sim card to be provisioned. This has not gone silent as I have contacted MTN and Afrihost and my one sim has been provisioned but not my phone sim. I get 2.5 bars on my Huawei B593 LTE through Telkom without antenna and I get 1 bar LTE with the MTN LTE data sim card. I swear if it wasn't for the great deals through Afrihost I would have left MTN some time ago. (it is a LTE sim).

I am still waiting for MTN to get back to me with any help. I have the same issue in an area that is supposed to be covered.

In case you don't have it here is the coverage helpdesk number (0839001212). Write down the reference number and keep it! They look at your spend to decide of and what solution. They installed a Yagi antenna for me for free. From 1 bar to 4
