I’m on that sky package from last year’s Black Friday. But I pay R499 for 50 gigs, 4000 minutes.

I just had a look and noticed my next upgrade date is only end of July. I've taken I think 3 consecutive black Friday deals (2 years apart each). Anyone know how my upgrade date moved to the middle of the year?

I did the same as you. Last set of deals was 36 month hence the upgrade date.

Ah, shucks. I missed that somehow. Is there anyway to still move to one of the new deals, or do we need to wait for July?

Really hate these 10mb/20mb speed limitations they are imposing on the LTE deals as part of the black Friday 'specials'

Vodacom also running their version of Home LTE - what they aren't telling you in the promotion is the 10mb speed limit...

Also take note when applying for these deals ask for the 'real price' of the package as these are discounted.
You will be in for a surprise when you want cancel because MTN charges 1 month sub undiscounted fee + current month + vat to cancel.
